Password Saver features two encryption algorithms you can use to encrypt your database. The first one, AES, is also used by the US military to encrypt their data. This algorithm is currently considered one of the best—if not the best—encryption algorithms. The other encryption algorithm is XXTEA. This is a light-weight encryption algorithm optimised to run on hardware with limited resources, like mobile phones. This encryption algorithm allows Password Saver to work on mobile devices.
Though your passwords are quite safe, and Password Saver even encrypts passwords in-memory, at some point passwords must be decrypted. At this point you can use the password, but if you can, virusses can too. Always make sure your computer is virus-free using an up-to-date virus scanner. Password Saver is quite safe, but for data that needs top-level security (like government data or entreprise data), I would not recommend Password Saver as it was not made for this kind of data. For personal use however, you have nothing to worry about as long as you keep your computer virus-free.
